Sponsored by the East Shore Athletic Club, the Fourth Annual Pedal 4 Pattison’s will take place on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at PACE Charter School (located at 2014 Bees Ferry Road in Charleston, behind Rutledge Baptist Church) in the gym, beginning at 8:00 am.
Pedal 4 Pattison’s is a yearly spinning marathon held in order to collect funds that will benefit Pattison’s Academy Therapeutic Summer Camp. The East Shore Athletic Club is providing their support, as well as the 120 stationary bikes that will be used during this event.
Each rider participating in this marathon has the option of spinning all four hours or splitting up the time with three other team members. Also, each rider helped raise funds by collecting a minimum donation of $250 (many collected more than this amount).
During this fundraiser, the riders will line up on one side of the gymnasium, while students from Pattison’s will line up on the other. The riders and the students will take part in this marathon together, adding a little fun and excitement to this event.
While this event is sold out, Pattison’s states that members of the community can show their support and encouragement by making a donation of their own, and everyone is invited to come out and cheer on the marathon participants.
